She shook her head to both, moving now to quickly be by Gimmick's side. She pressed a hoof under his beak, lifting his chin up awhile she examined his head with the other, finding a bump. "I wish we could meet under less unfortunate circumstance, Razma. I am Airheart, the friend to Gimmicks. Still, it is nice to meet another of your... what are you called again? Gryphons...? We do not have your kind in my homeland." She clicked her tongue with worry. "Lamplight will be back from the walking of grounds most soon, and she will know what to do with Gimmicks." Perplexed, she stared from Razma to Gimmicks. "Please, this is not my first language. What is a 'fission' and to where must it be mailed?" Edited by Yulessia, Fri Jan 10, 2014 2:53 pm.

"It's nothing more than another sign of his injury. It's worse than I thought, and if it isn't treated promptly he could die, or if not, be crippled for the rest of his life. Now, if you don't want that to happen, I suggest you tell me if you have ice or not. Her tone might have grown a little harsh at the end, but Gimmicks was the first gryphon Razma had seen in years, and she would be damned if he came to lasting harm because of a stupid coincidence. |

"Easy... easy. Shh. Loud noises. Shh." Gimmicks waved a talon. He looked at Airheart. "You pegasu..sususus..es... control the weather, right?" |

Airheart backed away from Razma, fearfully. Why was she yelling at Airheart? What had she done wrong in asking... "I have already answered you on both--" Airheart looked at Gimmicks, frowning. He wasn't going to be okay long enough for Lamplight to get here. On his suggestion, she flew from the house on powerful wings, leaving behind a flurry of air. She carried a cloud upward to the sky as far as she could fly in the bitter air without hurting herself. She gave the cloud a buck for rain, and then flew under it and waited. The cold air had made glorious hail. She gathered up as much as she could before returning to the manor. "H-Here." She was shivering as she held it close to her chest. She looked at Gimmicks with worry. |

While Airheart was gone, Razma took a tablecloth from a nearby coffee table and torn of a large swath of fabric. When Airheart returned, she took the ice and snow, and used it with the tablecloth to make a pack that would hold together and could be easily held against Gimmicks' head. "This should keep the injury from simply killing his mind. Hopefully. Now, since you are here, perhaps you could answer why children are doing such dangerous things?" |

"I already TOLD you we're CRIMEFIGHTERS." Gimmicks lifted his head up and watched the two. The ice seemed to be having a positive effect though a slight slur in his speech made it obvious he was still a little dazed. |

"Yes, so you have said. That still does not explain why." A little more confident about Gimmicks' continued physical and mental wellbeing (in the short-term) at least, Razma regained her composure and settled her wings a little more comfortably against her body. "It is far too dangerous for a fledgeling. I did not hunt fugitives alone until I was nearly twice your age." |

"He is not alone!" Airheart stepped forward, placing a hoof on Gimmick's back to help him keep right. "If not for him, I would still be in a cage in Canterlot..." Airheart looked away distantly. "There are five that live in this house. My friends met defending me from very bad ponies. You say that it is too dangerous for him to fight, but what choice is there when the fight is on your doorstep? Or in the air you breathe in?" She turned, advancing sadly to Razma with big bright eyes. "We fight because to do otherwise is death in this land. We've all lost our parents to the danger. We vowed to protect each other, and those who cannot defend themselves. You speak as though the danger would prejudice based on age, but if that were so, I would still have my family." Airheart nuzzled Gimmicks, smiling. "You have just as little right to assume we are incapable based on our age as does the dangers of this world." |

The front door opened with a touch of black magic and Lamplight walked in, cloak pulled tightly over her mane and horn so that only her eyes were really visible beneath it due to an odd, soft glow. She stepped in, not really looking at any of them, but walking toward them anyway. "You rang," She deadpanned to Airheart, pointing to the clasp of her cloak where a gem rested. She and Stone had worked on the security system together, and when someone alerted the house of danger, the gem each of the CMC carried also went on alert. Lamplight looked at Gimmicks vacantly, and her magic wrapped around his body as if scanning for injury. "Two things: Skylark and Stone are finishing patrol alone tonight. And I found this leaving your section of town but someone called me here instead of letting me take her to the prison." Her magic still on Gimmicks, in behind her from the door she levitated a mare, hog-tied with dark black magic bindings, including one wrapped around her horn. Stick-Up struggled vainly against the bindings before being dropped onto the rug in a heap. |

Somewhat taken aback by the pegasus' vehemence in defending their way of life, Razma sat still and listened, her tufted tail twitching behind her. So, Gimmicks was an orphan, like she suspected, and moreover so were his other friends. That did explain a great deal, including why he seemed so confident about fighting. He had to learn to take care of himself, out in Equestria with no support save from four ponies. "I'm sorry," she said, her tone much softer. "I meant no insult in what I said, nor did I mean to say that your actions are useless. I suppose...I was reminded of my little brother. He was always so eager to learn to hunt like I do..." Razma lowered her head for a while, thinking of her lost life and loves. "I know what losing a family can do. If you will continue your path...take care that you do not lose a family again." Razma turned away, intending to return to her hunt, when the door opened. It wasn't the arrival of another pony that surprised her - the pegasus had said that there were five of them after all - but rather the third pony to arrive. Well, "arrive". Trapped in bands of shadowy binds covering nearly her whole body was the form of Stick-Up. She mumbled something muffled by the bands around her muzzle, and Razma gave a grim smile to the captive. |
