Razma frowned as well. That was not the reaction she expected. Was he not on good terms with his parents, or perhaps angry with them?

"Ah, that manor..." Razma muttered, shaking her head slightly. I"I have wondered about it before..."

Sighing at his unsteady movement, Razma gently lifted the little gryphon up, placing him on her back. She gave him a bit of rope that she held in her beak. "Hold on."

At the kind offer, Gimmicks couldn't really stay mad at her. He gripped it tentatively, muttering a thanks.

"I'm... Gimmicks, by the way," he opened up. "Sorry about my... your.... target. My friends and I live in that manor together. We made a promise to each other to shave a little bad off the world every chance we get. That mare was just one in a long line of crime-fighting. Skylark - my friend - will be kinda mad about it, but eh. He'll get over it."

"Crime fighting...a dangerous occupation for one so young. Best you rest for now, Gimmicks. And..." She shook her head slightly. "My name is Razma.

She took him to the door of the oddly shaped manor, knocking out a quick pattern on the door. She idly scratched at the ground as she thought about what Gimmicks had said. She nearly spoke to apologize when she realized why he was likely so reluctant to speak of his parents, why a young gryphon would be in Manehattan on his own, and why he lived with his "friends" rather than his family.

"You're just like me..."

Gimmicks had a feeling he knew what that sentence was about. There was a brief silence before the gryfalcon motioned to the plants lining the front windows. "There's a key there behind that hedge..." he said defeatedly.

He yawned, feeling sleepier now that the wind had been forcibly knocked from him. Or maybe concussions just had this effect. "Everyone was out on patrol separately tonight. Thanks to my failure, I guess I'm the first one back."

"Hey! she shouted as he yawned, alarmed. "You mustn't fall asleep so shortly after hitting your head like that. Stay awake, Gimmicks. Tell me more of your friends, if you like."

As she spoke, Razma dug behind the short wall of plants, finding the key after a moment and unlocking the door. She eased it open, looking around as she did, but not seeing any activity in or around the building save for herself and Gimmicks. She closed the door behind them as they entered, and soon enough the young gryphon was seated on a couch in the house, Razma sitting on the floor in front of him looking closely into his eyes.

"Friends...? Oh right..." He sounded sleepy, eyes half-lidded. "There's... Skylark... he's our.... leader. And a tightwad. ... but a good... pony. And Airheart. We saved her first... our first fight. She talks funny, but... her heart's in the right place. Stone... and Lamplight... are hard to read. ... creepy.... dark... unicorn magic... I don't get her at all... y'know? She's so...mean to me."

He was staring rather blankly at Razma, then he looked at the button on the wall just behind her - the one Stone had installed as an alarm system. He looked at it, pointed a talon to its noticeable contrast from the wall. "Hit that for me, would you?"

This wasn't good. His speech was getting ever more slurred and staggered by the second. Razma specialized more in causing head injuries than in treating them, so she wasn't entirely sure what she needed to do...press a button, apparently.

"This button? Very well..." She reaches a claw up and presses the button, wondering what it would do.

She had just landed on the balcony at the back of the house when she heard bells ringing through the house. They were soft chimes like one might hear around Hearth's Warming, but they did the trick of notifying the house that something was wrong. On her guard, she braced herself and opened the balcony door to the bedroom, then followed procedure. When an emergency alarm sounded, everyone was to meet in the living room, so she made her way down.

It was here she came upon Gimmicks and an unknown gryphon. She tensed but made no other motion as to her discomfort. Staying her distance at the doorway to the room, Airheart pressed a hoof forward, hoping this stranger was friendly. "Gimmicks? Do you have any harm? Who is this?"

"Airheart...!" Gimmicks lifted his head vainly, motioning her forward. "This is... this... Razma." He pointed at Razma. "I mailed the fission."

He held his head. It was getting harder to concentrate since the injury. He had so many things he wanted to ask Razma about gryphons and why she was here, and none of them were managing to be spoken.

Razma stood and nodded her head at the pegasus that just entered the room. If she was friends with Gimmicks, then she would hopefully at least not be overly wary and suspicious of another gryphon.

"He has a dangerous head injury. Are you versed in first-aid? Failing that, do you have any ice?"
