"Of course I understand. A bloke by the name of Lucas Grande, a coward really. He has this fancy little box in his study that he was suppose to give to me after our business. Well he never held up his end of the bargain and deems fit to not respond to any of my messages. I would go see him myself but I have business else where that needs my attention. All I need is to get what is owed to me. No more. No less. Simple for a group who is well versed in adventuring. Not even all that exciting really. A good scare would send him running really and easy peasy get the box."

Aydan gave an easy smile and a airy wave of his hand. Taking a small sip he did not let his eye trail off the woman before him. She was cautious, good head for business, and smart. That was always troublesome. The smart ones are usually. Clearing his throat he leaned forward, lacing his fingers together.

"If your friends can do this I will also give to you a nifty little route from Portsteel to Crossfields. Not listed anywhere and just laying around. Free and off the notice of others. I really have no need for it."

This was... Suspicious, to say the least. It sounded almost too easy - Diamant could probably do it herself, not that she'd risk it - and the discount was massive. Throwing in a smuggling route as well?

"I will have to discuss this with my client," she said finally, crossing her arms. "Although I trust there is a limit on how long this offer extends. Would an answer within the week be sufficient?"

A week. She would be able to look into what, exactly, they were being asked to steal, and from whom. She would rather know what she was signing up the Gale Blades - or worse, herself - for before telling Nik about it.

"One week? That is agreeable. I look forward to hearing back from you." That was more than enough time to gather a few things on his end. If her friends could take care of this little problem for him quietly, that would save a good amount of time and manpower. A sharp grin on his face, he held a hand out to her for a business shake.

"Is there anything else you need Miss? While the cards are still on the table so to speak?"

"That's quite alright," Diamant said, flashing a nervous smile. She wanted to get out of here sooner rather than later, and she believed that business was taken care of. "Although before we conclude, I would like to clarify - this business proposal of yours is only for the harbor dock, yes? I wouldn't want to lose the field for lack of wheat."

"Yes only for the deck. Once you have it, you can do what you wish long as you don't draw attention." He nodded his head to her with a smile. Seems like this might be smooth sailing after all. He would just need to see what she will do on her end. A few things would need to be looked at on his end. Something to help stack the favor in his end as always. "I bid you safe travels and I eagerly await your answer."

Dia nodded before getting up to leave, shutting her purse. "Well, thank you for your time," she said, finally shaking his hand. "We'll be in touch." She made a small bow, walking out and back into the streets.

She was certainly biting off more than she had anticipated. This was going to be a pretty long trip to Portsteel, and she really needed to get ahold of the Blades to ensure that she wasn't going too far.

Fortunately she was spared the question of calling - her linkpearl rang right as she was turning the corner. She answered it, looking around furtively before doing so. "Dee speaking."

"Di--- Dee," Dom corrected himself, catching on almost immediately. He kept his voice as low as he could, not that anyone would hear him on her end. "Are. you. insane? Are you okay...? Do you know where you are??"

Easy. Dom sighed, messing up his hair as he took a deep breath and slowed down. "Look, I'm nearby. Real nearby. That guy's the type that buries people. Alive. in the ocean. I know him. Hon, can you just.. do me a favor and get somewhere I can touch down and walk with you? This isn't a good place to be alone."

He was laying on his back, high above the compound on a drifting cloud. He made a small effort to look over the edge and spot her before leaning back again and staring at the sky. He kept the pearl near his ear in a limp hand, other fidgeting with the safety on a flintlock.

"Well I didn't exactly have too many options, dear," Diamant said, continuing down the street at a brisk pace. "I can assure you this isn't ideal for me either." She turned a corner, glancing behind her as she did so to watch for any shadows darting behind walls. No luck - she was sure she was being followed by now, but if she was they were doing a better job of keeping hidden than she was catching them.

"I'm not sure that's the best idea," she continued, doing her best to ignore the occasional looks she received from workers. "As much as I'd love your company, it'd be rather conspicuous to have a wyvre land and start accompanying me out of nowhere." she continued, heading toward her apartment. "If you can find a place to land, I passed a market on my way over here - we can meet there." Before Dom had time to respond, she hung up, putting the pearl away.

"Dime, I-- dammit." He crushed the pearl in his palm in frustration before putting it away in his pocket. He knew these docks too well. This fucker had a hit going out in the market right now, trying to get the gangs to murder a bunch of fucking kids. He gritted his teeth, looked around for an opening, and bolted from the cloud as quietly as he could, flying under the larger clouds in the sky to leave no shadow, give no outline. He flew straight out to sea instead of toward down, ducking down back into sightline once he was out of coast a bit before flying back in a long circle to reach the market.

Diamant continued until she reached the market, pausing in front of a stall selling fish to observe the prices. When she caught sight of the rather unusual greatcoat she'd helped tailor on a tall, dark and handsome wyvre, she smiled, weaving his way over to him. "What a ripoff, eh?" she said, tapping him on the shoulder to get his attention.
