Kemera "It's time now for a new change to come You've grown up and your new life has begun To go where you will go To see what you will see To find what you will be For it's time for you to fulfill your destiny" [Please reference the Fae species page in addendum to this lore page for complete information.] APPEARANCE Sound/ Cry: Common and the languages of their native race are known. Defining Features: Pointed ears; Each kemera is different, taking on a variety of traits unique to each kemera. They represent the culmination of all three races of fae, but what that means varies to each individual ascension. CAPABILITIES Skills: Kemera are the strongest beings in Lyria, though their powers do not work outside of their home country whatsoever. Kemera also have an extended life span, only dying if dealt a fatal blow. One ascends by performing great and new magic, adopting that magic as a special talent in which they gain full and unending knowledge. History knows of only a few kemera to date: ((Change names once character sheets release)) Celestia, Seed of the Sun Luna, Flight of the Moon Evening Star, Monarch of Love Cadenza, Love's Encore There are rumors of another kemera manifesting unnaturally in Ponyville some months ago. There is a known legend of a kemera called the Hushed Requiem. There have been many a description of him, but no name given besides the epithet, leading many to believe it's a position, rather than a person. A strange kemera who some swear to have sighted at births, deaths, and battlefields, on quiet somber nights, with magic that hums like a hymn, a glowing hollow cavity where his heart should be, and eyes that shine with pity. Weaknesses: Living forever also means one can suffer an extensive amount of mental abuse over the years. They are just as fragile mentally and physically as mortals, but their burden often makes them simply have a longer fall. |
