Flor (pl. Floren)

"There exists in nature all kinds. Of our kind, I find, my kemera rebirth became the culmination of all three primary features. I am the flight of birds. I am the astral light. Wings and sigil mark both joinings of my form. But when asked of Earth, the matter is more complicated. You cannot see so easily, that I am the strength of heart that exists in all who walk the more humbled path." - Unknown quote, often - incorrectly - attributed to Nightmare Moon by the Moonlit Inquisition.

APPEARANCE
Sound/ Cry: Common, Sign language is learned by almost all floren, used to coordinate in dangerous areas, or speak to another farmer from across the field. Body language is of the utmost importance and respect to florens as it is their magic.
Defining Features: Pointed ears that are larger than other races; Floren have no growths or extra features, but culturally adorn one. Each floren belongs to a family, and that family chooses an icon of nature as their crest. While floren have no physical changes, they will go to great lengths to adorn their outfits and hair with the crest of their family (eg, the apple family crest is apples and all family members modify their outfits to include apples in the design). Whether it be simply a lazy hair piece or an elaborately designed outfit is a cultural sign of how dedicated one is to their family. The more complex their handcrafted (always handmade by the flor themselves) crest garb is, the more respect they show for their roots. It is encouraged to go to great lengths to showcase which family one belongs to.

CAPABILITIES
Skills: Floren magic comes from the earth itself. This resonates in one of two ways: either they are exceptional at working and shaping the land to their own design, or they are attuned to nature itself - even the nature of other fae. Their talents often separate them into more niche categories within this skillset. Regardless of talents, they share a strong ability to intuitively sense natural disasters and the status of plants/animals in the area (danger level of predators). They have slightly larger ears, and use them to tell when they are being stalked. Floren are naturally skilled at growing plants, and being the natural leaders of towns and colonies due to their intuition on matters of the heart.

Weaknesses: Their special instincts rely on the cooperation of the other races to care for nature. As their magic manifests naturally, they cannot actively cast spells and limits floren to basic engineering and strong muscles to solve their problems. It takes more floren to perform the same task as a single strella's magic could resolve, which leads to a strong herd mentality that threatens lonelier florens' will.

DUSTED
Melia (pl. Melian)

Defining Features: Dusted, a melia's body takes on the features of the location where they mutated. Their bodies coexist between fae and any naturally occurring element of nature. If florens wear nature as a sign of respect and family, melian are worn by nature, becoming the earth in which nature roots itself and grows. Plant life grows on them, they might sprout fur and animal features, or their whole body might take on all the textures and complexities of a tree. The shared feature of melian are bone thorns that protrude along the major veins of one's limbs.

Skills: Melian feel the earth easily, and have joined nature in a way far more connected and horrifying than any other race is capable. They have a connection to nature, empathy, and control of it. They take on all the physical properties of their dust form, including life span, defenses, and mobility.

Weaknesses: The dust form causes melian to lose their generic instincts in favor of pure, raw knowledge of their niche field of nature.
