Pieces of wood and brick hit some of his men crushing them beneath the weight but he paid no mind to their cries and screams. This would be last time they would laugh at him and with flash of his horn the roof collapsed inwards burying all those who were caught in it. The walls of the storage house cracked and on collapse as a great roar sounded through the snowy night. Shaker Down panted with a grin as his horn dimmed down. Silence...not a sound besides some tumbling rubble reached his ears. Four ponies were at his side, one of them being the unicorn from earlier that helped bring her in. Turning to them he fixed his hair and returned to his calm demeanor. Not a trace of his previous anger was showed and that scared the remaining ponies at such a fast change. Standing straight and quiet the awaited his next orders. "Dig them out, bring the bodies to me. I need to find someone to stuff and mount them on my wall." Another complicated night but at least he was done with those birds now. With his instructions given he turned to head back to their main house. It was getting colder and he didn't want to wait around as they dug up the remains. Turning to the other unicorn he motioned him to follow. "Come with me. I want Back Draft to work on you. You got some skill kid." |

Razma and Gimmicks huddled together under the coffin, the sturdy wood proving to be a life-saving defense against the rubble that came crashing down upon them. Evidently Shaker had spared no expense in Razma's demise. Her wings ached something fierce, and being dragged by Gimmicks to take shelter hadn't helped, but it was better than being smashed under the falling building. "When I first saw him, he was dropping some pony into the harbour with a set of cement horseshoes, for no reason beyond saying unkind things about his courage. That's why he came for me, I saved his victim when I tried to take Shaker in. He got away, and found me again this night..." She shook her head. Gimmicks' arrival had been both fortuitous and highly unexpected. "Not that I am not grateful, but how did you come to save me tonight?" |

"I told ya. I was just-- Hold on." He waited until some rubble cleared and as a pony lifted the coffin, the earth pony found himself basically roflstomped by the same flurry of feathers and claws that had taken out the other guards. From beneath the coffin, all Razma could make out was the occasional grunt of a pony falling until there was nothing but silence. Eventually, the coffin was lifted off Razma by the tired little gryphon. He took what was left of the tarp and started making a sling for her wings. "What was I? Oh...! I was returning your coin purse and I saw you surrounded and ... hurt. It's uh... pretty b-bad right?" All the bravado and color had faded from his face now that the event was over. "After that...I don't... really know. It's like I'm an animal whenever something bad happens. It's kinda a blur. I remember him swinging the bat, and everything after that was just instinct, I guess.." At least his friends would be here soon. They'd help get Razma to safety and fixed up. He knew for a fact that Lamplight could lift her easily. They just needed to wait for his-- their --- friends. Then this would be okay again. |

"My...coin purse..." Razma starting chuckling, a sound of genuine amusement. "To think that such a small act of forgetfulness would save my life...truly, the winds of fate blow strange occurrences in these times..." With the slings made for her wings, Razma was much less wary about doing further damage to herself by moving. With Gimmicks' assistance, she was able to crawl out of the coffin and stand on her own four legs, though it was difficult. "Thank you for saving me, Gimmicks. Truly. I would likely be dead, or near it, if you had not." |

"Yeah, well... as it stands... ya kinda almost did... and that's... kinda scary, dude." Gimmicks sighed, relieved. He tossed his head toward the road. "We better get going before more show up, huh?" He picked up and walked, keeping whatever pace Razma was most comfortable with in her condition. They could try to meet the rest of the CMC halfway or something. He sighed again then smiled over at the other gryphon. "I'm glad you're alive, too." |
